Big Girls!

These are pictures of me today, 38 weeks and 3 days.

I went to the doctor today and I am 3.5cm dilated, 60% effaced. They did a ultrasound to find out her weight and when they did that they found that she is head down (which is good) but she is sunny side up (this is not good, she is looking up at my belly and she should be facing the ground). This is not good because it is harder for her to get out of the birth canal facing that direction. It has something to do with how her neck bends as she comes out....i really have no idea what I am talking about. I just know that Parker was also sunny side up and that labor was a nightmare. Apparently it can also cause you to tear (sorry to any men reading this) much worse. Last time I tore as bad as you can so I am a little nervous that history might repeat itself. She weighs approx. 7lbs 9oz, this is already 2oz bigger than her brother. I have to admit I am a little nervous about delivering her now. Parker was a 19 hour labor with 2 hours of pushing. Not the best experience of my life. Last week that my doctor said she would induce this Friday but after all the news today I am honestly a little scared of being induced. I am still holding out on the hopes that she is going to come on her own. I still have the option to be induced Friday if I choose but I really don't want to do that. The only reason I have not totally ruled being induced out is because she is already bigger than Parker was and that is really scary too. He was at least a little guy. I am just saying a prayer that she comes out on her own before Friday morning. So everyone feel free to join in on the prayer. :)

Randi,
You are lookin' hot mama!!!

You and Reese will be just fine! I am praying so hard that you will just go on your own and not have to be induced and that she shoots out of that birth canal with no problems. I'm also praying for peace for you b/c I know how anxious this waiting period is. Love ya!

I'm praying!! You look awesome!! I pray that God will take care of every single worry you have and give you peace, and bring Reese at the perfect time (preferably before Friday) and it will be a faster, easier delivery than Parker's was! Love you!!

Randi, I don't know if you remember me from LU, but I found your blog through Lindsay's. You look so amazing, but I am not surprised! I will be keeping you in my prayers and can't wait to read more about your new bundle of joy! Lots of love,
Rebecca (Mitchell)

RANDI. It is so great to hear from you. You look great! Girl we have matching stories for our first labor and tears and so on. :) But if it helps, my second was not half as bad. I am so excited for you. Now that I have your blog site...I will be returning the "stalk."
